Meet Brandy Torres-DeMark
Brandy Torres-DeMark is the CEO of BTD Creative Solutions, she embodies resilience and a rich tapestry of experiences. Since the age of 9, Brandy has been dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. From navigating a challenging upbringing in a home marked by domestic violence until the age of 15 to achieving a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 1998, her journey is a testament to perseverance.
Her professional trajectory is characterized by diverse roles within the social work field, including case management, detox, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and addiction. She has also provided crucial assistance to children who have witnessed domestic violence and served as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) with hospice, offering compassionate care to those nearing the end of life.
Brandy's commitment to serving those with physical and mental disabilities has been unwavering throughout her career, as evidenced by her CNA work and advocacy efforts.
Beyond her work in social work, Brandy has explored various fields, including photography, political campaigns, and corporate customer service, all while maintaining a steadfast commitment to giving back.
As a parent to her child, Lexington, born in 1998, she understands the importance of family and resilience, having experienced a 20-year marriage followed by divorce. In 2014, Brandy courageously came out of the closet, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance.
Her dedication to volunteerism began at a young age, starting at 9 years old as a library volunteer. Over the years, she has volunteered with homeless individuals, participated in hospice work, and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care.
Now, as the leader of BTD Creative Solution LLC Brandy is driven by a passion for social change and advocacy. Her mission extends beyond business success to creating a more compassionate and inclusive society, where individuals from all backgrounds are empowered to thrive.
BUT WAIT! Where does the Christmas Decorating and Photography come in???? Photography began 30 years ago as a hobby and creative outlet and has since evolved into a thriving business. The Christmas decorating venture started when Brandy received a second tree for her home from her mother, which was white with pink ornaments. Since then, Brandy has had up to 8 trees in her house at once. In 2023, Brady conducted a trial run of her Christmas decorating business, now launching live for the 2024 season.
